The most famous wine region of France with a big reputation. In the vicinity of Médoc and Graves created the most amazing drinks. For 95% of production is red wine. The most important sub-region are: Medoc, St.Emilion, Pomerol, Graves, Entre deus Mers, Sauternes.

The area is famous Bordeaux wine classifications especially in 1855, when the occasion of the World's Fair, a list of wines, which since 1855 has hardly changed (list created by the then market value of the wine). These wines are the target of many investment and are very marketable. But Bordeaux is not only the cuvee of Cabernet and Merlot (totally more cultivated than Cabernet Sauvignon). Ideal for this mold infestation are Sémillon grapes, which blend of Sauvignon Blanc or a smaller share of Muscat.

Blue varieties

White varieties
  • Sémillon (less acid, used for desert wines, often blended with Sauvignon Blanc)
  • Sauvignon Blanc (smell and taste of green apple, fresh wines that have a wide range of aromas and flavors, depending on the soil, the vines are grown)
  • Muscadelle (used for aroma and acidity, smal area of plantation)
